Sweet Potato Turkey Burgers

These tasty burgers are a healthy, quick and easy meal for the whole family! Hidden vegetables are a mom's dream right? Not only do the sweet potatoes bring vitamins and fiber to the meal but they add moisture, keeping these turkey burgers nice and juicy! Top with avocado or any fixins' that suit you and eat up! These are delicious!

Makes 4

1 lb 93% lean ground turkey

1 cup shredded raw sweet potatoes

1 Tbs extra virgin olive oil

1/4 tsp onion powder (optional)

1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)

1/2 tsp cumin

2 Tbs tamari

1/2 Tbs pure maple syrup

Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl and form 4 patties. Cook until 165 internal temperature, about 5 minutes on my George Foreman grille! You could also pan sear or place in oven. I highly recommend using a meat thermometer to ensure safe temp and not to overcook as that can dry out the burgers.
