PSL Syrup

Call me basic but I love a good PSL in the Fall! I was shopping for creamer for my husband and couldn't help but notice all the yummy flavored creamers available (including pumpkin spice) but the artificial & inflammatory ingredients are a no for me. Sidebar------ For those that can tolerate dairy, CoffeeMate now makes a Natural Bliss creamer that I have converted my husband to and the ingredients are real and simple-YES! Ok back to pumpkin spice lattes... per usual, I face the challenge of making an old favorite into a healthy and anti-inflammatory version I can enjoy. Challenge met! This syrup is delicious and everything PSL that I'm so excited to use to spice up my hot or cold beverages!

1/2 cup pure pumpkin

2 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice

1/3 cup water + more if needed

5 Tbs pure maple syrup

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

In small saucepan over low-medium heat, combine all ingredients and whisk often for a couple minutes. Add more water by the tablespoon if needed to thin as desired. Pour in sealed container and store in refrigerator up to 3 weeks.
