Perfect Pecan Butter

Updated: Feb 6

I started making my own nut butter like so many other things because I know what is going into my food and heck it's cheaper! I was intimidated by the process but it's so easy! All you need is a processor and a few minutes. This pecan butter is silky smooth and super lush! Spread on rice cakes, toast and bananas. Mix into overnight oats or granola bars. Eat with a large spoon! I am not to be trusted with this stuff ;)

Makes ~1 1/2 cups

3 cups raw pecans

1/2 tsp pink salt

1 Tbs pure maple syrup (optional)

Add pecans to processor and blend on high for 5-10 minutes, scraping down sides as needed. Continue until reaching desired consistency.

Once drippy and smooth, add in salt and maple syrup if using. Store in sealed container at room temperature or refrigerator. Watch the reel here

Note: If you'd like to toast pecans, preheat oven to 375 and place pecans on parchment paper lined sheet. Bake 8 minutes or until just starting to darken.
