No bake granola bites

Any way you slice them, into bars or bite size squares, these no bake granola snacks are super yummy and wholesome! Great for breakfast, on the go snacks or a sweet treat, this may be my favorite combo yet! The rice crispies give them that addictive crunch factor that will keep you coming back for more! Mix and press into your nearest container and refrigerate-you'll have plenty of time to pat yourself on the back with this simple no bake recipe!

Makes 8 bars

1/2 cup rolled oats

3/4 cup brown rice crisp cereal (I buy whole foods 365 brand)

1/4 cup ground flax seed

Pinch of sea salt

2 Tbs chia seeds

2 Tbs dark chocolate chips (or carob) optional

2 Tbs melted unrefined coconut oil

1/3 cup almond butter

1/4 cup pure maple syrup

1/4 tsp cinnamon

In medium bowl whisk together melted oil, almond butter, syrup and cinnamon until well combined.

Stir in oats, rice cereal, flax, chia seeds, salt and chocolate chips.

Line chosen container with parchment paper. (I used a loaf pan) Press mixture firmly into pan and refrigerate for a couple of hours. Remove and slice into desired pieces. Enjoy!
